The Newport-based pair have been hopping back and forth across the Atlantic all summer to compete in the two P1 championships. Having won all races in the Gosport Grand Prix they went into the final round of the USA series with a narrow three point lead. They didn’t let that pressure get to them though, producing four professional and consistent performances to win the title by six points.
Norvill cites lucky venue post title win
Speaking to www.p1superstock.co.uk after the race win, Norvill was expecting a tight and dramatic event: “This is one of my favourite race venues in the States and it’s also my lucky venue where I had my first USA victory last year. Typically the lake is flat and that suits me and Charlie. It’s a great feeling to win both championships,” he said.
